Yes, but I couldn't find any data to list exactly what data it uses to control it. I believe it was Red #44, then the other wire just goes to ground. I supposed I could just temporarily wire it back to to the PCM and see if it works as intended, if it doesn't then I can move the power wire to a switch.

Well, it's either a 12v or MOST likely a 5v signal that operates the lockout relay. I'll see if I can find the code for the lockout relay malfunction. That might give the voltage it uses and the wiring diagram.

So it looks like I just need to wire it up to 12v fused power and hook the ground to pin 42.

That's what I see. Gnd comes from the ECM.

You would be correct with this assumption. The PCM is completing the circuit via the ground.

After 100, even I say screw it, it'll need to be cooler before I tackle that kind of work.

Brian? Are you going to have that intake "re-visited" before I get up there?

Oh please! Don't let me say "I told ya so!"

Great news. All we need do is get the IAC set back to normal and you should be good. Are you sure your tuner didn't save a stock tune before he played around. That is really not a smart thing to do on a tune (ESPECIALLY A CUSTOM TUNE!!!)without taking a "starting Point". I need to dig around and see what the latest tune is for that car. I'll check the laptop for "dates".

My tuner did save a copy after he was done messing around.. i'm almost positive that he put the good number back in..and then saved.
But i could be mistaken.

Somethings got the vacuum leak fixed and got it's brain degaussed of ugly old LTFTs and is running. It's going in for a SD tune and a 2bar MAP sensor on Friday.

Also, it's getting it's first bath since Christmas today! Sad, really sad....

Last I heard he was negotiating a price and parts for the clutch. I believe he wanted to fix the clutch while we were in the neighborhood.

Good news bad news, bad news.

Got tuned. Another vacuum leak popped up. Intake coming off to find the issue/

MAP sensor turned out to be a 1 bar (going to NAPA and pitch a bitch)

642.9 RWHP and 660.5 Torque. HOLY SHIT!

Fuel pump is failing and that needs to be replaced (Shit)

With a new pump, the vacuum leak fixed, Brian will do an SD tune with a 2.5 BAR MAP sensor.

This car will end up close to 700 RWHP. Sweet Jesus!

I don't want to try an install it by myself. I need at least one more pair of hands to help position and stabilize the thing when I put it in. I'm pretty sure the damage to the speed sensor was done by me trying to get the thing out before I chopped the exhaust.

It is defiantly getting sorted out now...But if we leave it up to Napa we will never get it finished.. I ordered 2bar map sensor and got the right box but the wrong part in the box.We ordered a oil pressure sender..once again right box ,wrong part in box.We tried like crazy to get it back together tonight hoping for a last drive before pops leaves but not this time... But the next time his butt gets back into the drivers seat he will have way more HP than he knows what to do with..

Exactly where were those 550 supposed to be used? At least I still have "Accident Forgiveness" on my insurance policy.

I seem to recall some Gainesville activity with me driving the car. There isn't a road in America that allows anyone to use all of those horses for more than 8 seconds and even at that they could get you for excessive acceleration or street racing so, quit being mean to your Dad!

Do you have all of the parts yet so we can install the new clutch and tranny? Phase 2 starts Friday.

Dingle,

Did you pull that pilot bearing out yet? That is the big PITA on a clutch repair. I'm an "installer", not a "disassembler"!

No, I haven't touched the clutch yet. I am hoping to get under there and work on it Sunday morning. I did verify that the parts store near me rents the knife puller (that's what they called it).

Ok. Just making sure you don't listen to some shade tree mechanics that use a grease ram method to get the bearing out. That is a no-no on the LS1 engine.

Sounds like you're almost ready for an install. Did the reverse lockout arrive?

It's scheduled to be here tomorrow. Couldn't get the bearing to come out with just the puller (well technically the guts of the bearing did come out). Going to stop at Lowes tonight to get a grinding stone for the dremel and weaken it and try again.

Yes it is, I hope I don't get in trouble for damaging the rental puller.

Becuase people get the slide-hammer type instead of the puller type.

I have a "puller" type but it isn't working for jack shit. It's actually gouged and grooved the puller.

I'll have to check when I get home, it's a loaner from advance autoparts. I'm thinking about stopping at autozone and seeing what kind of rental they have.

edit:
Looks like an Alltrade Tools Kit 08 Pilot Bearing Puller.
